I have installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro into an AppStack and its working fine, however when it launches the user is prompted to register the product. On our View 5 installation (using Persona Management) when we click 'Skip' and 'Do not ask again', the user is never prompted again. Acrobat 8 was purchased approx. It downloads and registers the e-license without a problem. It just keeps asking for registration info no matter what you do.
Unable to activate my Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional
I have re-install the Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional on a new windows 7 computer. I have log in with my adobe credentials and I notice the license number but I’m not able to activate the software.
Could you assist me on this issue.
Thank you.

How do I download Adobe Acrobat 10 Professional? I have a serial key. My computer was stolen and I need to install Adobe Acrobat on my new computer. Do I need to deactivate the license on my old computer??
Just install the file that you downloaded last time and use the SN that came with it. Or did you not save the download. In that case you can try http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-acrobat-x-10-pro-reader-suite-direct-download-links-ddl.ht ml. I do not know how long AA X will be around online. You will still need your SN.

Download and installation help for Adobe links
Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages. They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3. If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.I have downloaded, and reinstalled all Suite applications, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Everytime I try to use Acrobat it shuts down and gives me this message:
Adobe Acrboat 8 Professional cannot be launched at this time. you must launch at least one other suite component (such as Adobe Photoshop) before launching Acrobat 8 Professional.
I have already launched and used photoshop, indesign and illustrator. Not sure what to do now. Also, I am using an Adobe Cloud membeship.Acrobat 8 requires CS2 or CS3. This has nothing to do with Creative Cloud or CS6. You need to reinstall whatever suite the product came with and serilaize it that way, which may not at all be possible on contemporary operating systems for technical reasons and because of this:
Error: Activation Server Unavailable | CS2 or older products, Acrobat 7
I also don't see why you would want to hold on to Acro 8, when in Creative Cloud you have Acro XI included...
MyleniumDear Adobe Acrobat Forum,
I would like to add a link to my .pdf file.
Once clicked on, I would like the link to send the user to another place in the same .pdf file
or open a separate .pdf file.
I've tried to resolve this on my own by going to both Acrobat help section and the InDesign help section as well as Googling 'Acrobat 8 link' or something similar.......but to no avail.
So, can you please tell me how I can add a link to a .pdf file?
I'm using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional.
I have been creating .pdf files using the File > Export feature in Adobe InDesign CS3 (for the Mac).
Thanks!Have you tried in Acrobat 8 to:
Choose Link tool.
Then choose as shown on as on this Graphic
Then when clicking next you should be greeted with this:
Choose open a file or open a weblink depending upon what you want to do.
You try some of the other choices. once you select what to do save as a copy and try. If This one doesn't work try some of the other choices in the first graphic. other panes will open up similar to second graphic except there will be other choices.I purchased a replacement PC and have not been able to install/activate my Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional. how do you move adobe acrobat XI standard pro from one computer to another?
Hi jeszamom,
You'll need either the installation media (if you bought from a retailer), or a downloaded installer. If you don't have the CD, you can download Acrobat from this links in this document: Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X - Adobe.
It's OK to keep it on the other computer; your license allows you to install it on up to two computers. But, if you'd like you can deactivate it on that old computer, which would free up that activation for use on yet another computer. Please see Activation & Deactivation Help - Adobe
You'll need your serial number to activate on the new computer.
Please let us know how it goes.
SaraPreviously I had Windows Vista Home Basic and everything ran smoothly with Acrobat. One thing that I loved was if I ran out of ink or could not print for some other reason, I had Adobe in the list of printers. Well Adobe is not showing up in the list of printers nor can I get it to show up there by trying several different things. My Adobe product is Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and my Windows system is now Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit (though I’m starting to regret this). I’m seeing that 64 Bit is the problem but really? Is there no fix for this other than spending hundreds of dollars yet again? I’m beginning to think the computer and software is only for the very-very rich! Who can afford this stuff with its updates every year! They really know how to make a buck but what about the people who cannot afford to keep paying for these things? I know I could switch back but I did a clean install and in order to switch back, I’d have to find the Vista cd again (which I tried) or end up buying that again! Ugghh All I want is for the Adobe Acrobat to be available as a printer, the program itself works, just not what I guess Adobe is labeling as the “extras.” I have tried the below…but none of anything I have tried for the last three days has worked – not even talking to Adobe because they gave me the links to this forum and the online support – because their chat is for the rich who can purchase XI at 400-900 dollars! Please if anyone knows a solution to this that might help me?

Did the “Customization Wizard” but the other file (Transformer Tool) would not load install – received message “Acrobat Transforms Update did not find any valid installed Acrobat products or you do not have sufficient privileges to update registry.” Grrrrr
Installed PDFFilter64Setup.msi --- seemed to accept it but I’m not sure it changed a thing!Keep in mind that AA8 is just about prior 64-bit and has not been updated to maintain currency with the newer OS and platforms. As a minimum, you need to do the updates to AA8. The updates are important for 64-bit systems. You may or may not get it to work. If it looks like it, please report what parts work and what parts fail. The links try to address the issues, but we need to know what works after you do the updates. Does Acrobat open (your note suggests it does) and appear to work? Does Distiller open and is it able to convert a PS file to a PDF (it can only operate on EPS and PS files)? Is there an Adobe PDF printer present? Can you print to the printer with print-to-file selected? Is AcroTray running in the background.
With a new system, new software is commonly required. In fact, Win 8.1 may have problems with old hardware like VISTA came on. I still run a Dell system with XP on it. Most things run fine (though I have to get rid of malware and such periodically). So you don't really have to update with every change, but you may be on your own with some things -- or depend on forums like this to try to help.Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard upgrade to Adobe Acrobat XI Professional

Adobe Acrobat 8 Activation
“Temporary Activation Expired,” error is encountered when you try to activate Creative Suite 3 and Acrobat 8 application.
The licensing information is stored in a database file named cache.db. This error occurs when the cached licensing data from previous Adobe software installation conflict with the new installation. Removal of the data file allows a successful installation of Creative Suite 3, and Acrobat 8, without a request to activate the software.
Note:
Removing the cached licensing database file (cache.db) affects the licensing of other installed Adobe software like Creative Suite, Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements, Acrobat, Creative Cloud applications and more.

Reinstall Creative Suite 3 and Acrobat 8 from the CS3 product downloads page.
- Launch Photoshop CS3 first to license the installed Creative Suite 3 software titles. If you launch Acrobat 8 first, you receive a prompt to enter a serial number which is not required if Photoshop is successfully launched first.
- After you install Creative Suite 3, and Acrobat 8, you can reinstall and activate other Adobe software.
- For information on how to locate your registered serial number see: Find your serial number.
- The installer for other Adobe software is available for download at the other software downloads page.
- Refer the article to download your purchased Adobe software.
